ENERGY CONSERVATION
Master your most precious resource
Dash Only When Necessary
Running is free. Dashing costs energy. In safe areas, always walk. Save dashes for danger zones and precision platforming.
Short Dashes Over Long
Tapping dash gives 70% of the distance for 30% of the energy cost. Master the tap rhythm for maximum efficiency.
Abuse Invincibility Frames
Dashing grants 5 frames of invincibility. Use this to pass through hazards without taking damage. Timing is everything.
Energy Orb Priorities
Large orbs restore 20%, small orbs restore 5%. Always grab larges first. Small orbs in safe zones can wait.
COMBAT STRATEGIES
When fighting is unavoidable
The Stagger Method
First hit staggers most enemies, second hit kills. Two-tap dash attack combo is faster and safer than trying to melee.
Environment Kills
Lure enemies to spike traps or off ledges. This costs no energy and works on most regular enemies. The Warden is immune.
Escape Dash
If you're about to be hit, dash away. The i-frames will save you. A well-timed escape dash is better than tanking damage.
HIDDEN SECRETS
Areas most players miss
Secret Areas by Level
- Level 2: Wall jump off the left side of the second falling chamber to find a hidden energy cache.
- Level 4: Swim straight down at the end instead of going up — there's an underwater tunnel.
- Level 6: Stand in the center and don't move for 10 seconds. The echo reveal opens a secret door.
- Level 8: In the second gravity well, there's a false wall on the right that leads to 40% energy.
- Level 11: In the third light beam section, there's a shadow alcove that gives full energy restore.
SPEEDRUN TECHNIQUES
For the fastest escapes
Corner Boost
Dashing into a corner at the right angle launches you faster than normal dash. The boost depends on angle — 45 degrees is optimal.
Extended Dash
Start dash at the peak of a jump. The dash extends your air time while maintaining speed. Useful for crossing large gaps efficiently.
Momentum Preservation
Don't dash perpendicular to your movement. Dash in the same direction to maintain momentum. Perpendicular dashes kill your speed.
Frame-Perfect Gravity Cancel
Enter a gravity well during a dash. If timed perfectly, you keep horizontal momentum. Very difficult but saves seconds in speedruns.
GENERAL ADVICE
Things that make the journey easier
Death is Not Punishment
Death costs energy, but respawning at checkpoints gives you another chance to optimize your route. Don't fear death — learn from it.
Checkpoints Are Sacred
Always activate checkpoints before attempting difficult sections. They're marked by glowing crystals. Standing near them restores 10% energy.
Study Enemy Patterns
Every enemy has a pattern. Watch for 2-3 cycles to learn it before engaging. Patterns don't change — they just get faster in harder areas.
Energy at 0% = Game Over
This is the only true fail state. Even touching enemies deals energy drain, not instant death. Keep even 1% energy and you can still recover.
